Tony Trewinnard of Blue Skies Weather says the drought risk for Canterbury by the end of December remains.
“It’s bought two weeks’ worth of feed that you’d otherwise have to find in December,” he says.
He says soil moisture deficit compromises pasture growth without meaning drought and lighter soils in Canterbury have even odds of drought by early December.
“You have options now and you will do through the month of October.”
