Jackie Harrigan, Group Editor - Country-Wide and Dairy Exporter

Taranaki-born and bred, Jackie Harrigan still looks on Mount Taranaki as her maunga, although she does enjoy the view of the changing light on the Ruahine Ranges out her kitchen window in the Manawatu.

Armed with a Massey agricultural science degree and diploma of journalism, Jackie had eight years working on Country-Wide and then edited Young Country magazine for two years before it was incorporated into both Country-Wide and NZ Dairy Exporter magazines. She has spent seven years editing the NZ Dairy Exporter magazine as it moves towards it’s 100 years of publication milestone in 2025.

And now in the circular fashion of the media industry she is back to Country-Wide magazine, and excited about editing both magazines and about the future of moving towards more digital integration with the magazines within the business.
