Fuel budgeting: Don’t try to play the market
Fuel prices are set to climb as the Northern Hemisphere winter lifts demand, and farmers should budget for it rather than try to time the market, Fern Energy chief executive Chris Gourley says.
“When we hit that European winter, we’re going to see demand go up,” he says.
He says supply is secure.
“We won’t have any issues getting it, but it could be more expensive.
“Budget for it, put it aside, and get fuel when you need it.
“Don’t try to play the market; you’ll miss it because it’s moving so quickly.”
