Farmlands ties $1 million AgriZeroNZ stake to manufacturing plans
Farmlands says its $1 million AgriZeroNZ investment over three years is tied to its manufacturing and animal health and nutrition businesses.
Chief executive Tanya Houghton says the co-operative is in talks on four potential products that could be made at its New Zealand sites.
“One of the most exciting about those is actually biological, and we already have biologicals in our suite through Donaghys with ProCalf and ProDairy.”
She says Farmlands will never require farmers to use the products.
“Our job is to ensure there is product available to suit their farming system and the decisions that they want to make.”
