Entries are open for the Ballance Farm Environment Awards, and farmers and growers do not need to be perfect to take part, says Sarah Harris, general manager of the New Zealand Farm Environment Trust.

“It’s not about being perfect, it’s just about coming in and looking at where you’re at on your sustainability journey,” she says.

Entrants get feedback from up to seven experts across two rounds of regional judging. Entrants do not need to be Ballance customers; the awards are run by the New Zealand Farm Environment Trust, an independent charity.
