Poverty Bay A&P Show expects more than 20,000 through the gates
Gisborne’s Poverty Bay A&P Spring Show runs this Friday and Saturday.
Stephen Thomson, vice president of the Poverty Bay A&P Association, says the show draws more than 20,000 people over the two days.
“It’s just country meets town, town meets country,” he says.
He says the main ring programme includes a mullet challenge, a shepherds’ challenge, a mystery community challenge and the grand parade, with a team of Clydesdales alongside modern machinery.
“It’s just a chance to keep showcasing primary industry within New Zealand.”
