Veteran sports broadcaster Brendan Telfer says Ryan Fox’s British Open victory is one of the great finishing performances in major championship golf.

Fox laid the foundation with a 62 in the third round, the lowest score anyone has shot in major championship golf.

“The British Open alone has been going 160 years. No one has ever shot a 62 before,” Telfer says.

He says his speed sets him apart.

“It only took 20 seconds for him to put his hand in the hole and get his ball out,” Telfer says.

He says most golfers take three or four minutes over a putt that important.

Fox now earns exemptions into major championships for years.

Telfer says Spain deserved their FIFA Club World Cup final win over Argentina, with 16 attempts on goal to nil.
